Frequently asked questions!

Immigration Consultant vs. Immigration Lawyer
RCICs (Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants) are licensed professionals who focus solely on immigration and citizenship matters. We’re trained, certified, and regulated by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants and are authorized to represent clients before IRCC, CBSA, and the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB).
Immigration lawyers, on the other hand, are licensed by a provincial law society and can represent clients in Federal Court. Their services are usually needed for complex legal cases, court appeals, or constitutional matters.

Can you help if my visa was refused?
Yes, I can help. Visa refusals are more common than people think — and they don’t have to be the end of your journey.
During a consultation, I’ll review your refusal letter, assess your case, and help you understand:
✅ Why your visa was refused
✅ What options you have now — such as reapplying, appealing, or exploring alternative pathways
✅ How to strengthen your next application
Every case is different, and I’ll guide you based on your unique circumstances.
Can I hire you after the consultation for full services?
Yes! If you feel confident after our consultation and would like continued support, you can retain me to represent you throughout your immigration process.
You’ll receive:
✅ A retainer agreement outlining the scope of services and fees
✅ Ongoing guidance, document preparation, and application support
✅ Direct communication and updates every step of the way
There’s no pressure! The consultation is about helping you make an informed choice. If we’re the right fit, I’m here to support you from start to finish.
